Industrial Coating Contractors

When coating performance isn’t optional, trust the experts.

Protective Industrial Coatings Backed by NACE Level 3 Expertise

New Kent Coatings’ management team holds NACE CIP Level 3 certifications. That means we don’t just apply a product. We assess your environment, specify the right system, and execute to standard. If you’re unsure of the right coating system for your application, our team can provide solutions with manufacturer backing.

Coating Failure Assessment and Replacement Planning

Our NACE II and III inspectors visit the site, identify what failed and why, and specify a replacement system designed not to repeat it. We work directly with manufacturers to match the right coating to the commodity going into the tank.

Receive Spec-First Coating Recommendations

New Kent Coatings’ industrial coating contractors are ready to evaluate your site and provide a clear, spec-based recommendation that fits your performance needs, timeline, and budget, with zero upsell.

Industrial Coating Services for Regulated and High-Security Environments

New Kent Coating solutions are built for facilities with strict access rules, compliance requirements, and zero room for downtime surprises.

  • Access Where Others Can’t Go

New Kent Coatings crews are trained and cleared to meet the access requirements of military installations, pharmaceutical plants, and secure chemical facilities. Our standing as industrial coating contractors means we’re already cleared for environments most contractors can’t enter.

  • One Project Manager, Start to Finish

Every project is assigned a single point of contact who stays with the job from kickoff through completion. You won’t be chasing down status updates or coordinating between crews.

  • Crews That Run Themselves

New Kent Coatings crews arrive on time, follow site protocols, and coordinate cleanly with other trades. Clients bring us back because we make their lives easier, not harder.

Case Study: Raw Water Tank Lining Completed Inside a Power Plant Shutdown

A Virginia power generation facility had a fixed restart deadline for a scheduled shutdown, and its raw water storage tank had to be relined before the plant could come back online. After New Kent Coatings blasted the tank interior to bare steel, the crew found extensive pitting across the wall. The conventional fixes, rebuilding the tank or filling every pit, both needed more time than the outage allowed, and lining over the pitting the wrong way would have failed within a couple of years.

New Kent triaged the interior by severity. The deepest, highest-risk pitting was repaired with steel pit filler, and the remaining shallow pitting was coated by brush and roll instead of spray. Spraying can bridge a pit and seal air inside it, and that trapped air becomes a corrosion cell under the lining. Brush and roll works the coating into each pit and pushes the air out. Because blasting, steel repair, lining, and NACE CIP Level 3 inspection all ran under one contractor, there was no second mobilization and no waiting on an outside crew while the shutdown clock ran.

The tank returned to service inside the outage window and the plant restarted on schedule. The field-applied lining is projected at 10+ years of service life, and New Kent delivered a written specification for the permanent repair to schedule at the next planned outage.

Tank Coating and Secondary Containment

New Kent Coatings should be your first call for tank coating, tank lining, and secondary containment work across petrochemical, petroleum storage, and municipal water and wastewater facilities. As industrial coating contractors with NACE-certified inspectors on staff, we diagnose the problem, spec the right system, and execute without cutting corners on surface preparation or application standards.

Corrosion surveys give you a documented assessment of remaining coating life on existing assets before failure forces the decision. Whether it’s a potable water tank, petroleum storage vessel, or containment structure, we identify exactly what the coating needs to withstand before a spec is ever written.

Amg Blue Quotes

“We had a recurring coatings failure that no one else could diagnose. NKC figured it out. That was nearly 10 years ago, and they’ve been our only coatings contractor since.”
